180 new jobs announced at Ericsson and SAP
There was good news on the jobs front this morning with the announcement of 180 new positions at two firms in Dublin and Athlone.
Ericsson, the fifth-largest software company in the world, has said it will further expand its Irish operations, with the creation of an additional 120 jobs in 2014. Recruitment will begin immediately to add to the company’s workforce of more than 1,400 in Dublin and Athlone.

VoiceSage to create 10 new jobs in Dublin
Technology firm VoiceSage is to add ten new jobs in Dublin after securing more funding from Enterprise Ireland.
Cubic Telecom to create more than 70 jobs
Cubic Telecom, a company specialising in global mobile connectivity, will create more than 70 new jobs over the next three years as part of an investment by Enterprise Ireland, supported by the Department of Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation.
Up to 4,500 jobs unfilled due to skills shortage in IT
UP to 4,500 jobs are currently going unfilled in Ireland, and 10,000 more potential jobs are under threat in the short term, thanks to this country's IT sector skills shortage, a startling new industry report published today has claimed.

US software firms to create 95 jobs in Dublin and Limerick - Technology Industry News | Market & Trends | The Irish Times - Fri, Apr 19, 2013
Electronic payments firm ACI is expanding its Irish Development Centre in Limerick with the creation of 60 new posts.
Separately, San Francisco-based Marin Software is to set up its international headquarters in Dublin, create 35 positions over the next three years.

Engineers Ireland - One third of engineering employers hope to hire in the next 18 months
New findings, published by Engineers Ireland, show that over one-third (37%) of engineering organisations surveyed said they hope to grow and hire in the coming 12 to 18 months. The research was highlighted at the launch of the Engineers Ireland revised CPD (Continuing Professional Development) Accredited Employer Standard by the Minister for Education and Skills, RuairĂ Quinn, T.D.
